Eleven days at the cornerstones of the Orthodox faith.
The Cornerstones pilgrimage is for the pilgrim who would stand long at each holy place. Ten nights across two bases, four in a centrally located four-star hotel beside the Basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem and six in Jerusalem, a Divine Liturgy at the Tomb of the Resurrection when arranged by the Patriarchate, an unhurried day in the Judean wilderness, and the apostolic coast where the Gospel first crossed into the world.
You will pray at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where the Patriarchate of Jerusalem keeps watch over the place of the Resurrection. You will descend into the Grotto of the Nativity at Bethlehem, walk the Way of the Cross, and stand at the Jordan to renew the promises of your baptism. The wilderness of Judea opens to Mar Saba and Saint George of Choziba, and the apostolic coast at Caesarea Maritima recalls the voyages of Saint Peter and Saint Paul.
Each open departure gathers Orthodox Christians from many parishes across the United States and Canada into one company of pilgrims.
The full day-by-day, with the Orthodox sites at each stop and the photography, is in the downloadable PDF itinerary.
